MAUMEE, OH—The Luken T. Boyle Campaign for Kindness will host its Annual Kindness Rally at  Hensville Park on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from noon – 2 p.m. to commemorate the anniversary of  Luken’s passing and observe a “Day of Kindness” in Northwest Ohio.

On July 31, 2017, after an incident of online bullying, fourteen-year-old Luken T. Boyle sadly took his own life. The Luken T. Boyle Campaign for Kindness was started by Luken’s mother Samantha to teach empathy and spread kindness in her son’s honor. To celebrate the life and legacy of Luken and the mission of the Luken T. Boyle Campaign for Kindness, they will host its annual Kindness Rally at Hensville  Park on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from noon – 2 p.m. The afternoon’s itinerary will include a kindness proclamation by Mayor Kapszukiewicz, live music by Max Boyle, appearances by University of Toledo  Football Coach Jason Candle, Central Catholic Irish Dance Team, Muddy, food, kid’s face painting and games, and more!

Following the Kindness Rally, supporters are invited to attend the Mud Hens afternoon game and can purchase a Mud Hens game ticket with our kindness group directly for $11 via https://fevogm.com/event/Lukent

Along with the Kindness Rally at Hensville Park, the Luken T. Boyle Campaign for Kindness hopes to engage all of Northwest Ohio for a city-wide day of kindness on Sunday, July 23, 2023. New this year,  attendees can give a gift of intentional kindness by participating in the Kindness Angel Tree since it is  “Christmas in July” supporting four area non-profits (Connecting Kids to Meals, HARC, Inc., Helping  Hands of St. Louis, Nightingales Harvest).
