There’s nothing sweeter than kindness—and recently, a local ice cream shop proved just how powerful community support can be.

The Luken T. Boyle Campaign for Kindness partnered with Chitter Chatter Ice Cream for a special fundraising night, where 20% of sales were donated directly to support anti-bullying initiatives. Families, students, and community members gathered not only to enjoy a delicious summer treat but also to take part in spreading kindness in a tangible way.

The event served as more than just an ice cream outing. It was a reminder that small, intentional acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. By choosing to stop in and grab a cone or sundae, every participant helped support programs like Kindness Rooms, school outreach, and community education—efforts that continue to inspire hope and create positive change across Northwest Ohio and beyond.

One of the most encouraging aspects of the evening was seeing how simple it can be to make a difference. As Executive Director Samantha Boyle often says, kindness doesn’t require grand gestures—it begins with small actions that show people they matter. Something as simple as buying ice cream became an opportunity to stand against bullying and promote compassion.

We are deeply grateful to Chitter Chatter Ice Cream and every person who came out to support this event. Together, we proved that kindness is contagious—and when communities come together, meaningful change is possible.
