Ms. Birdie is a Para/Substitute Teacher @ Crim Elementary. She was so moved by your Kindness room, and the story behind it. Birdie goes out of her way to make every child feel welcomed and loved at school. When she is out in public and runs into one of her current or former students, they shout her name with an exuberant smile, rush over to hug her and introduce her to whomever they are with. Birdie knows what it is like to feel left out, as she was singled out as a child by bullies. She has taken that negative experience and turned it around to make an impact on everyone she meets! Birdie has two children that she encourages every day to be that safe place for a friend. While working full-time, she is working very diligently to earn her degree to make an even bigger impact on the lives of all her “children”!
